Meet Jason

Hi, I’m Jason. I help young people navigate challenges, build confidence, manage emotions, and overcome obstacles so they can thrive in their personal and social lives. Drawing on real-world experience from military and youth work alongside clinical training, I provide practical, authentic, and evidence-based support tailored to each young person’s needs.

Background & Experience

I provide therapy to children, adolescents, and their families within private practice, supporting a range of emotional and behavioural challenges. I’ve supported young people in outdoor program settings, working with children and adolescents with ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities, and a range of behavioural and emotional challenges. These experiences have allowed me to take a practical, hands-on approach, helping young people build skills in ways that feel real and meaningful to them. My experience also includes working within private hospital child and adolescent wards, where I’ve collaborated closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, and facilitated group therapy.

Before training as a psychologist, I served 14 years in the military, which continues to shape my approach—bringing structure, authenticity, and real-world perspective into my work.

Approach & Philosophy

My approach is integrative and developmentally informed, primarily drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Behavioural Parent Training (PMT), while incorporating attachment-informed principles. I work closely with parents and primary caregivers, recognising their key role in supporting young people’s emotional and behavioural development. By blending structured clinical strategies with real-world insight, therapy is practical, relatable, and empowering for both young people and their families.

“I help young people navigate life with purpose and confidence, using real-world experience to make therapy meaningful, practical, and achievable.”
