Registered Counsellor

B Psych, M Education (Guidance, Counselling and Careers)

Toowong, Brisbane

Meet Kailin I am a warm and compassionate counsellor who offers a safe space for clients to feel heard, understood, and reconnect with themselves.

I am especially passionate about supporting people who may appear “fine” on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. My hope is to help clients find a clearer and more grounded way forward.

Background and Experience

My academic background in Psychology and Education has shaped my interest in anxiety support, emotional wellbeing, identity development, and culturally responsive counselling.

I have experience supporting adolescents, international students, culturally and linguistically diverse clients, and children, including children who present with attention, emotional regulation, or ADHD-related support needs. With bilingual abilities in English and Mandarin, and my own cross-cultural background, I bring empathy and understanding when working with clients who are navigating cultural identity, family expectations, study stress, life transitions, and self-doubt.

Approach and Philosophy

My counselling style is warm, gentle, reflective, and person-centred. I support clients to make sense of their experiences, build emotional clarity, and move toward a more grounded way forward.

My approach is holistic and collaborative. I draw from Person-Centred Therapy, CBT-informed strategies, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused practices, visualisation techniques, and reflective emotional exploration.

I support clients to better understand their emotions, recognise repeated patterns, reconnect with their strengths, and develop practical ways to manage anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. I believe healing often begins when a person feels genuinely seen and understood. My role is to walk alongside clients with warmth, curiosity, and respect as they build insight, self-compassion, and a stronger connection with themselves.
